Some love stories begin with a spark. Jennifer and Shawn’s began with a sunset.
Seven years ago, long before wedding plans and Timber Ridge wedding dreams, two photographers were unknowingly capturing the same golden horizon in Rondeau Park. Later that evening, they each posted their photos on Instagram…and Shawn recognized the scene instantly. His comment led to a conversation, that conversation led to a date at Greenview Aviaries, and that “date” led to hours of talking, wandering, and discovering that something truly special had begun.
From there, their story unfolded in the most natural, beautifully unhurried way. Sunset photos, hikes along the South Point Trail in Rondeau, and a deepening connection rooted in shared creativity, nature, and the quiet kind of love that feels like home.
Years later, on that very same trail, while sitting on driftwood with the waves rolling in, Shawn got down on one knee and asked Jennifer to marry him. It was peaceful, serene, and perfectly them.
Jennifer described her ideal wedding day using three words: romantic, classic, and natural, and Timber Ridge brought all of that vision to life. Everything felt warm and effortless.
