I arrived on the morning of Melissa and John’s wedding to find a rosary hanging from a small tree in the garden just outside of Melissa’s parent’s home. It’s said that if you hang a rosary from a tree, you’ll have good weather. So, in hopes of a perfect day for her daughter, that’s just what Melissa’s mom did.
The forecast was unfavorable.
The clouds rolled in
… and just as it was time for bridal portraits, the rain began to pour.
What do you do when it’s raining too hard for photos? You pay a visit to your favourite local chocolate shop – that’s what!
The lovely Regine of Regine Fine Chocolate welcomed us into her beautiful store with a warm smile and a tray of chocolate covered strawberries! It was the perfect way to start our day and by the time we’d wrapped up our photos and we’re heading off to Melissa and John’s first look, the rain had stopped! I guess the rosary worked after all. ;)
Melissa and John, Thanks so much for trusting me to document your love story. Your knot is strong because it started off drenched with rain. :)
