From the moment I met Alyssa and Luke, their vision for their special day was clear: wildflowers, whimsy, and a touch of trains. What struck me most was their unique connection to llamas, especially their llama friend Henry. When they saw my photo snuggled up next to an alpaca on my website, they knew it was a sign of fate.

Alyssa and Luke’s love story began on a magical Christmas Eve in 2021 at Memorial Park in Tilbury. They spent the evening immersed in holiday lights, exploring downtown Tilbury, and embarking on spontaneous drives. Their adventurous spirit and shared laughter quickly blossomed into a deep bond.

Eleven months later, Alyssa made the move from Windsor to Chatham with her beloved dogs, Apricot and Alfie, to join Luke. Together, they cherish traveling, indulging in Chatham’s pizza scene, and Alyssa has even developed a newfound appreciation for chasing trains (well, almost!).

Luke originally planned to propose on their anniversary, Christmas Eve 2022, but a looming winter storm prompted him to improvise. He surprised Alyssa at the Christmas Light Festival where they first met, surrounded by loved ones, despite Alyssa’s initial reluctance to venture out after work. Luke’s quick thinking saved the day, especially as Chatham soon fell under a winter State of Emergency.

Their wedding day was a true reflection of their personalities and shared adventures. Alyssa stunned in two beautiful outfits, effortlessly transitioning from ceremony to reception. The Retro Suites Hotel provided a perfect backdrop with its vintage charm and elegant spaces, enhancing every moment captured through my lens.

As I look back on Alyssa and Luke’s Retro Suites Wedding, I’m reminded of their infectious joy and the beauty of capturing love in its most genuine form. It was an honor to document their journey from that magical Christmas Eve to their unforgettable wedding day.
