Ashley & Kashan’s Wedding at the Chatham Armoury | Chatham, Ontario Wedding Photographer

When we first began talking, I asked Ashley and Kashan how they would describe their vision for their wedding, their answers made me smile. Ashley pictured something colourful, floral, and summery. Kashan’s answer? “Efficiently stress free.”

As Ashley put it, she couldn’t disagree with his logic; who doesn’t want a stress-free wedding?

Although Ashley and Kashan live in Guelph, Chatham was a meaningful choice for their wedding. Ashley grew up here, and her family still calls it home.

The couple had already celebrated their Nikkah, their Islamic wedding, in April 2025. Their September ceremony and reception at the Chatham Armoury marked another chapter in their story – the celebration Ashley affectionately described in her first email as their “white wedding dress” wedding.

I loved learning about the meaning behind these two celebrations and how they wanted to share this occasion with family in Ashley’s hometown.
