Getting married during a pandemic is less than ideal, but after already postponing once in 2020, Holly and Paul made the most of their 2021 wedding date with their decision to turn their Big Fat Greek Wedding into an intimate, romantic elopement for just the two of them… and it was perfect!
Paul started his day getting ready at home in Dutton, Ontario with their daughter who was eager to offer her assistance and feedback throughout each step of the process. One of my favourite moments was hearing her exclaim to her Dad just how beautiful he looked in his bow tie!
I later met up with Holly, who’d spent the night at the beautiful Idlewyld Inn & Spa in London, Ontario. It was here where she, along with the help of her hair and makeup stylists, quietly prepared for the day. Once dressed, Holly quickly reached out to her nearest and dearest on facetime to say hello and accept their well wishes before she headed down to the patio for their first look.
The pair said “I do” in a traditional Greek ceremony before heading towards downtown London to enjoy the stunning architecture of the old courthouse; and finally, to the forest to frolic amongst the trees!
Here are some of my favourite photos from Holly and Paul’s sweet day:
Special shout out to the super talented dudes at Venture Films for being amazing to work with and to Red Barn Florals for the beautiful work they did on Holly’s bridal bouquet and Paul’s boutonniere. Always a pleasure!
